We are pleased to announce that we are inviting applications for Executive Director of MCCI.

 

Reporting to the CEO of Tyndall National Institute (or nominee) and the MCCI Centre Steering Committee (CSC),you will lead MCCI and drive a sustainable vision and strategic direction for the centre through Phase 3 and beyond. You will be responsible for technical and financial operations within the centre and the delivery against KPIs to continue growing an international centre of excellence and scale in solid state circuit design and applications. You will be responsible for delivering circuits and systems research outcomes that are consistent with the Centre business plan agreed with the MCCI CSC. You will work with MCCI scientific leaders in MCCI to ensure a focus on research excellence, international impact and the development of the microelectronics talent pipeline in Ireland. More broadly you will deliver national and international research leadership and technology foresight, and alignment other relevant national centres and with government policies and initiatives. The role also requires the promotion of the Irish microelectronics sector on the global stage providing the platform that will encourage world-class technology to be developed and transferred from academic to industrial partners, with appropriate support from funding agencies in Ireland and the EU. You will create strategic collaborations with high quality research groups world-wide and manage MCCI projects with academic participants across Ireland. As a senior leader within Tyndall National Institute, you will also be proactive in the development and growth of microelectronics research across the institute and in the leverage of Tyndall technologies and expertise in the delivery of MCCI’s mission.
