MCCI HOST INDUSTRY RESEARCH OPEN DAYS

In response to our call for proposals, our research leaders have submitted proposals for over €6M in breakthrough circuit research ideas. Earlier this week we held our Industry Open Day sessions, where they pitched their research proposals for consideration. It’s encouraging that given the current economic climate that innovation in microelectronics continues to thrive with novel and complex ideas on the table. Normally held in person, the event is key to defining the strategic research roadmap we undertake, and this year the sessions were held in a virtual format for the first time. The pitches from our team were broadly focused on innovations for applications from future networks to communications; Internet of Things (IOT); medical device technologies; smart agri to neuromorphic and quantum computing. We would like to thank our research leads, industry members and students who all dialed into the sessions. The funding announcements will be made will be in the coming weeks.
